Governor Linda Lingle sends her best wishes to everyone observing Passover or Easter. The Governor celebrated the first night of the Jewish holiday with a special Seder at Washington Place, the historic home of Hawai`i's governors. On Sunday, she joins Lt. Governor and Mrs. James "Duke" Aiona Jr. in welcoming Hawai`i's children and their families to the grounds of Washington Place for a special Easter celebration.

New TV Show and Weekly Radio Programs Provide Forum for Open Government
Delivering on her promise to restore trust and integrity to state government, Governor Lingle launched an exciting new weekly series on `Olelo community television called "Talk Story with Your Administration." The 30-minute show, hosted by Hawai`i‘s own Angela Perez Baraquio, Miss America 2001, is designed to inform the public about the administration's activities through an "up-close and personal" dialogue on current issues, pending legislation and other timely topics. Each month, the program will feature a different member of the administration discussing topics relating to their department.

Since the beginning of her administration, Governor Lingle has also devoted one hour every Monday morning to "talk story" or visit with the people of Hawai`i during a live, statewide radio program. "I enjoy the opportunity to share ideas with the public during this particular forum," said Governor Lingle. "It's terrific that people call in with questions ranging from the operation of state government, to specific plans for our educational system, as well as stimulating the economy."

The Governor's willingness to take to the airwaves has been applauded by the community for increasing openness in government. "I want every possible opportunity to foster more dialogue with the public regarding our administration's priorities," said Governor Lingle.

"Talk Story with Your Administration" airs every Wednesday evening on Oceanic Time Warner Cable TV Channel 54. The show is also available on the internet via video streaming at http://www.olelo.org from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. HST, 9:30 – 10:00 p.m. PST, 10:30 – 11:00 p.m. MST, 11:30 – 12:00 a.m. CST, 12:30 – 1:00 a.m. EST.

The Monday morning radio shows are broadcast statewide on talk radio stations KHVH 830 AM on O`ahu, KONG 570 AM on Kaua`i, KPUA 670 AM on the Big Island, and KAOI 1110 AM on Maui from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. HST, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. PST, 11:00 – 12:00 noon MST, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. CST, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. EST.
